Game Recap

The Saxons fell to the Vikings in the Mayor’s Cup game 23-22.

In the first half the Saxons marched down the field three times, but failed to score a touchdown, and Tony Maldonado kicked field goals of 31, 28, and 29 yards. South trailed 15-9 at the half.
The Saxons came back and went ahead in the third quarter on a 9 yard run by quarterback Harrison Broadus.
Maldonado added the extra point.
South fumbled going in for the next score on the two yard line, and North marched the length of the field to score and convert a 2 point conversion to take the lead. South came back and scored on a 4 yard run by Francisco Ramirez-Perez. The Saxons went for two and the win, but the run failed.

Francisco Ramirez-Perez rushed 26 times for 156 yards and a touchdown.
Harrison Broadus was 11-19 passing for 118 yards.
Andreas Delgado caught 8 passes for 91 yards
