Greater Valley Conference Play

Saxons (OSAA #6) 3 – 0 Sprague Olympians (OSAA #27)

SPRAGUE HS: The Saxons got back to their winning ways against a plucky Sprague side. Armando scored in the 4th minute off an assist by Sebastian. At about 20 minutes, as a result of a poor pass from a teammate and a questionable call by the official, Diego RS received a red card. The Saxons played a man down for the remaining 60 minutes. It wasn’t pretty soccer after that, but it remained one nil at the half. About fourteen minutes into the second half, Bastida chipped the keeper on a free kick from about 25-30 yards out for our second. That settled us down and took the wind out of their sails. Saldana finished the scoring about two minutes from time off a nice cross from Mikey.

Man of the match honors go to Bastida.
