Saxons News · Diabetes Awareness Night February 9th 2018

For a second year West Albany and South Salem high school’s basketball teams will be teaming up to raise awareness of Type-1 Diabetes as they ask those attending the January 19 game at West Albany, and the February 9 game at South Salem to contribute to support the Chris Dudley Foundation which helps provide support for people living with Type-1 diabetes. West Albany’s head coach, Derek Duman, has Type-1 diabetes, as also does the daughter of South Salem’s head coach Tyler Allen. 
The goal of the two games with West Albany is to  raise money and awareness for Type-1 diabetes.  In the spirit of competition, the schools will keep track of money donated from each school/program.
Last year, a combined total of $1,500 was raised with South Salem narrowly edging out West Albany in total contributions. 

Game time is scheduled for 5:45pm this Friday evening at South Salem High School. Admission is $6 for adults / $4 for students K-8 / Free for seniors 65 and over.
