South Salem advances to the quarterfinals with their second round win versus West Linn. The final score was South Salem 73, West Linn 52. The Saxons have punched their ticket to State and are heading to Chiles Center in Portland, OR. South Salem was down by 4 at end of the first quarter due to playing into West Linn’s slow half-court tempo, but then South Salem forced action and were soon able to speed up the game by creating turnovers and forcing contested shots. South Salem went on a 22-10 run in the second quarter and went into halftime with the lead 31-23. The Saxons never looked back increasing their lead by 20 points late in second half. Treyden Harris led the Saxons with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Jaden Nielsen-Skinner also added 19 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals for South Salem.
