South Salem (#3 ranked in State, 16-3 overall) beat Sprague 63 – 59 in overtime Tuesday night. It was a competitive game with both teams making runs on the other at different times in game, but South responded well down the stretch and were able to out execute Sprague in the final minutes of the game. When it mattered the most South proved why they are a real contender for a State Championship this year. Cole Hardy led South Salem with 20 points, 4 assists, and 3 blocks. Nick Zuro energized South Salem by adding 16 points, 14 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. South Salem remains undefeated in league (MVC) play. They play Summit at home Friday night.
