Alivia Benavidez held the Scots to three hits in the Saxons’ 19-1 win on Friday to end the regular season. The Saxons finish the regular season with a record of 9 wins and 5 losses in Mountain Valley Conference play. They are currently ranked #24 and heading for the OSAA playoffs with a 15-10 record on the season and non-conference games this coming week versus Roseburg on Tuesday and Oregon City on Wednesday. OSAA playoffs begin on Monday, May 20th.

South scored 11 runs in the first three innings to put the game out of reach. Makenna McCool, Mia Reece, and Benavidez all had three hits apiece. Naomi Galanti and Emma Cordero also had multi-hit games. Cordero, Reece, and Benavidez each had doubles while Galanti and Bella Wolf each had a triple. Benavidez had four RBI with Reece and Bella Fleener driving in three each. South accumulated 17 hits for the game.

Games versus both Roseburg and Oregon City will be at South, each beginning at 5:00 p.m. Go Saxons!
